Guide to Different Types of Tourist Visa Dubai

Dubai has many different identities. It is one of the best tourist destinations in the world and the top one in the Middle East. It is also the land of opportunities for many as Dubai employs immigrants from all over the world giving them a chance to have a good life. Many even come here for business ventures. But each requires a different type of visa. Therefore, if you too are looking to come to Dubai, get to know what type of visa you will need. The following is a guide for different types of Dubai tourist visa for your reference.

5 Year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

Surprised? So were many people. 5 years is a long time to grant a visa, but this decision was taken by the ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This was done to promote more people to come to Dubai for work, business, and tourism. However, there are a few conditions for obtaining the 5-year visa.

The visa has to be self-sponsored and allows you to stay in Dubai for a period of 90 days at a time. You can also enjoy a 90-day visa extension with this visa, but of course, the best advantage is that you can enter and leave Dubai multiple times over a period of 5 years. The 5 Year Multiple Entry Visa is perfect for frequent travellers. It is also perfect for people who visit Dubai for work and people who have close relatives working in Dubai.

90 Days Dubai Tourist Visa

This is another popular tourist visa. The 90 days Dubai tourist visa allows you to visit Dubai anytime between the 90 allotted days of the visa. This visa is popular with people who come to visit their family members who are working and residing in Dubai. People who have business in Dubai also choose this visa because there’s an option to make this a multiple entry visa which allows them to travel to other countries as well and return to Dubai.

30 Days Dubai Tourist Visa

This is a single-entry tourist visa that allows you to stay in Dubai for up to 30 days. You cannot have multiple entries or extensions on this type of visa. The 30 days visa is extremely popular with tourists who have long vacations planned in Dubai and businesspersons who are in the country taking part in the many business expos. The validity period for this visa is 58 days.

14 Days Dubai Tourist Visa

Of all the Dubai visit visa types, the 14 days one is the most popular one with tourists. Many tourists have tour packages that are less than 14 days, so they opt for this visa. It is also one of the easiest to get as this visa is a typical tourist visa. The validity period for this visa is also 58 days.

96 Hour Transit Visa

Dubai is a popular hub for many international airline companies. Plus, owing to its central location and huge airport, many airlines use it as a layover destination. So, if you have to catch a connecting flight to another country and will have to stop at Dubai, you will need a 96-hour transit visa. There are a few conditions for this type of visa though. Your connecting flights shouldn’t have a gap of more than 8 hours. Your arrival from and departure should be different places, and you must have your tickets in advance. The 96-hour transit visa is the most popular short-term single-entry visa in Dubai.
