Best Bluetooth speakers under 5000 in India

In the past year, there has been a lot of new releases of Bluetooth speakers. There have been new releases from Xiaomi, Caravan mini, and JBL too. So the question has to be asked, which are the best Bluetooth speakers under 5000 Rs in India. Read the article to get the answer.

MI Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker

So first up we have the newly released MI outdoor speaker and as the name suggests,  it’s meant to be used outdoors. For instance, it’s small enough to fit in most pockets and feels pretty compact too. It also has an IPX5 rating which means it can withstand light splashes of water or even running tap. So if it’s Holi or a pool party, you can safely bring it to action.

Another reason it’s made for outdoor use is the great battery life. It promises to give you 20 hours of juice at a full charge. So if you’re going out for a weekend trip, you might not even have to charge it once.

Taking a closer look at the design, it reminds us of google nest mini, and like most the Xiaomi product, it feels premium and minimal. On one side, you have the power and playback button, a micro USB and aux port on the next side and then a volume control on the other.

In terms of audio quality, you can expect good enough audio for the size. It’s not crazy high but not disappointing low. Overall, if you are looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker that has decent audio quality, battery life, and water-resistant, then this one makes sense for you. We have prepared a separate list of Best Bluetooth speakers under 3000 Rs.

Saregama Caravan Mini 2.0

So next up we have the infamous Saregama caravan mini and the first impression doesn’t look as classy as the original caravan but more like a generic Bluetooth speaker. It comes in three different modes. The first mode is retro Saregama which plays 351 pre-loaded songs across different eras from legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, and many more.

Next up, It has the FM mode which you can use with the built-in antenna, and finally the Bluetooth mode with which you can pair your computer or phone and use it as a regular Bluetooth speaker. Taking a closer look at the speaker, you get the regular music controls like play/pause, next/previous etc. At the bottom, it has the aux, a mini USB port for charging, and a recent button. Although there is one big caveat.

The 300 pre-loaded songs that come in this, are set in a single playlist. That means you cannot shuffle the playlist as you can do in the original caravan. There is no way to jump to a particular song or shuffle the playlist. And that can be boring after a while but then again these devices are mostly meant as a gift to your parents and probably they won’t be as picky as millennials.

Other than that, the audio quality and the loudness are pretty decent. These are good enough for a single big room or a kitchen or even a balcony. So, who should buy this? Well if you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker, you will definitely find a better alternative at cheaper prices. However, if you’re looking for something which you can give to your parent or if you prefer old songs, then this is a perfect one for you and consider the Bluetooth part as an added bonus.

JBL Flip 3

If you’re looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker for your next house party then JBL Flip 3 is the one that we’d recommend. There’s a power button to turn it off or on and then there is a LED light indicator to show the battery level.

If you open the lid, there’s a micro USB charging and aux cable. So yeah! You can use it in your car as well but of course, we would have appreciated type C so that you don’t have to carry an extra cable whenever you are travelling.

Next up, we have the buttons to play-pause and the Bluetooth button to put the speaker on pairing mode. Finally, volume buttons to adjust the volume level.

Now speaking of volume, it’s not only the loudest one for the size but the audio quality is pretty decent too. The bass of JBL is thumping. It should be more than enough for a small house party or even a 2BHK. And, not to forget, it also has IPX7 waterproofing. So using it near a pool shouldn’t be any problem.

Unfortunately, there is no mic. So you can’t use it for voice calls or zoom calls. Overall if you’re looking for a loud yet portable speaker, this fits the build. In case you want to read more such articles, do visit purchaseguidance.
