Breaking Down the Top Styles from Women’s Fashion Week

This week in New York City, women’s fashion designers showed off their latest collections. From dresses that are all about color to pantsuits that bring back retro vibes and body-hugging clothes for curvy women, there was a lot to see and buy. Here are some of my favorite trends from this year’s shows:

Gucci

Gucci’s show was the most popular of the week, as it featured a lot of red and black–the brand’s signature color palette. The logo is a double G, which you can see throughout the collection. It product list includes footwear, accessories, bags, party wear outfits, ready to wear outfits and home decoration.

Gucci also held its show at the New York Public Library, which gives off a classy vibe that matches well with their designs.

Coach

Coach is a luxury brand that makes high-end handbags, women & men shoes, and accessories. Their signature style is classic with a twist. Their signature colors are red, black and white.

Balmain

Balmain is a French luxury fashion house founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain, who was born in Normandy, France and died in Paris in 1982.

The brand has become known for its Haute Couture, ready-to-wear collections, jeans, shirts, designer shorts for men, perfumes (Bois de Jasmin) etc. Its fashions have been worn by celebrities such as Beyonce Knowles, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.

Christian Siriano

Designer Christian Siriano is a familiar name to anyone who has watched Project Runway. His designs are known for their romantic, feminine feel, and they often draw inspiration from the past.

In his Spring/Summer 2019 collection, he used fabrics like lace and tulle to create beautiful gowns that were sure to make any woman feel like she was walking down the red carpet at a major awards show.

Off-White

Off-White is a luxury fashion brand designed by Virgil Abloh. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which was inspired by the work of American artist Robert Rauschenberg, featured garments that were made from various materials including denim, silk and leather.

The Off-White x Nike Air Max 98 debuted at Paris Fashion Week in September 2018 and was available for purchase on November 2nd 2018. This collab marked the first time Abloh has worked with Nike since he left Louis Vuitton where he served as artistic director for menswear since 2013.

Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung is known for his use of bright colors, prints and patterns. His designs are inspired by his heritage and travel experiences. The designer uses the color green in many of his collections, which serves as a tribute to his family. He also uses other vibrant hues such as reds, blues and yellows to create unique looks that are reminiscent of traditional Indian garments.

Gurung’s feminine aesthetic is evident in every piece he creates; many pieces can be worn by women regardless if they’re wearing pants or any pret wear! One example is this dress shown above (you can see more photos at our Instagram page). It features an embroidered pattern on cream jersey fabric with lace trim around the neckline & sleeves – perfect for those occasions where you want to look chic without being too formal!

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta was a Dominican fashion designer who was born in the Dominican Republic. He died in 2014 at the age of 82, but he’s still known for his love of bright colors and feminine designs. His work has been featured on celebrities like Beyonce, Anne Hathaway and Michelle Obama (who wore one of his dresses when she met Queen Elizabeth II).

The most popular color is red.

Red is the color of love, passion and blood. It’s also associated with fire, danger and power. The bold hue has been used by designers from Chanel to Dolce & Gabbana this season to create strong statements on the runway that were impossible to ignore.

But what does red mean for you? Red can be an empowering shade for women who want to stand out in a crowd or who want their outfits to tell a story about themselves through fashion’s language of symbolism – just look at how many celebrities wear it! This is why we’re seeing so much of it during fashion week: because it works!

Leggings are on-trend in a big way.

Leggings are a staple of women’s fashion, but lately they’ve become more than just functional and comfortable. You can wear them with almost anything–flats, heels or boots; dresses or tunics; blazers and blouses. The possibilities are endless! While layering is always in style during colder months, it also works well during springtime when you’re looking for a way to add warmth without sacrificing style.

Fashionistas are crazy for capes.

Capes have been a part of fashion for years. They’re the perfect way to add some flair to your look, and they can be worn in so many different ways! For example, if you’ve ever wanted to feel like a superhero or princess without actually having superpowers or royal blood running through your veins, then this is the article for you.

Capes have been around since ancient times (the Greeks wore them), but their popularity really took off during the Victorian era when people started wearing capes as part of their everyday outfits instead just for special occasions like weddings and balls. Capes became even more popular during WWII because they were useful when people needed something warm but didn’t want anything heavy on their shoulders – which makes sense considering how cold it gets here in Canada sometimes!

Bright colors are making a comeback.

Bright colors are making a comeback. Bright, bold colors have been in fashion for a while now and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon! They’re a great way to express yourself and make an impression on others. If you want to stand out from the crowd without being too loud or obnoxious about it, bright colors are definitely your best bet!

Bright colors can also help you feel happy and confident – they bring out the best in people because they make us look good! So if you want to look great while feeling good about yourself at the same time? Try wearing some bright clothes next time you go out with friends or family members–you’ll definitely get noticed (in all of the right ways).

There’s nothing like a long skirt and high heels to make you feel powerful.

There’s nothing like a long skirt and high heels to make you feel powerful. This look is back in fashion, thanks to designers like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein who used it as their inspiration for their latest collections.

Long skirts are great for work or play; they can be paired with blazers or hoodies, button-downs and tights if you’re wearing them during the day, or with your favorite cocktail dress at night! You can also get creative by adding accessories like necklaces or belts that complement your outfit perfectly!

Clothing that fits your body is important — but so is what you do with it.

When you’re shopping for clothes, it’s important to pay attention to the size of your body and what kind of clothing will fit you best. However, when it comes time to wear those clothes and accessorize them, there are other things to consider as well. For example:

  • Does this outfit make me feel comfortable?
  • Can I move in these clothes?
  • Do these accessories match my personality or style?

It’s not just about the clothes — accessories are also key to a look that works.

Accessories can take your look from “meh” to amazing. If you have a great outfit but are having trouble making it work, try adding some accessories. They’re the perfect way to add some personality and style without going over-the-top. Here are some tips for finding the right pieces:

  • Don’t be afraid of trends! Trends can be fun and exciting if you pick up on them early enough, so don’t worry about being late on every single one (unless it’s something really terrible). Just make sure that if there’s something specific about your personal style or brand identity that doesn’t mesh with what other people are doing right now — or even worse — feels like an attempt at copying someone else’s style entirely (we’ve all been there). In this case, stick with what works best for YOU!

The styles shown at women’s fashion week are wide and varied.

For those who are looking for a little inspiration, there’s plenty to be found. The styles shown at women’s fashion week are wide and varied. There are looks for every body type, occasion and budget–and even moods!

If you have an hourglass figure: Try an off-the-shoulder dress with some embellished boots or heels. You can also try pairing a high-waisted skirt with sneakers if you want something more casual but still trendy. If this isn’t your thing, go for a short A-line skirt with some ankle boots instead!

If you have an athletic build: Go ahead and try out some of the bolder silhouettes on the runway! You’ll look great in them (just make sure they’re fitted properly). If not, try a loose blouse over jeans or leggings so that it doesn’t cling too much while still showing off those curves!

This year’s fashion shows were filled with trends that made us want to get out our credit card and shop!

This year’s fashion shows were filled with trends that made us want to get out our credit card and shop!

There was a lot going on at this year’s fashion shows, but one thing stood out: the return of the ’90s. The decade brought us some of the most iconic looks in history, like grunge and flannel shirts (and even flannel dresses). But don’t worry–this wasn’t just some nostalgia trip; designers took their inspiration from ’90s style while making it modern enough for today’s woman.

Conclusion

We hope you enjoyed this look at women’s fashion week and its many trends. We know it can be overwhelming, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from our experience covering it for years now, it’s that the most important thing to remember is that you don’t need to spend a lot of money or even follow all of these trends in order to look great. If anything, keeping things simple will help ensure your personal style shines through no matter what!
