Two types of Internet connection services.

There are two main types of services that allow you to access the Internet. They are:

  • Fixed Internet
  • Mobile Internet.

Fixed Internet:

This is an Internet connection that is established in a specific location (such as at home, in the office, or in a store). This means that the Internet connection only applies to this property and you can only access it when you are physically there.

Nowadays, there are three most common types of fixed Internet connections:

ADSL Broadband

The most common form of Internet connection is ADSL and uses the existing residence phone line to go online.

Cable broadband

Instead of using a telephone line such as ADSL, cable broadband connects to the Internet using a special cable that uses the same line as your TV service. Usually cable broadband offers faster than ADSL connections (average download speed of 50.5 MB). However, since cable broadband connections are often shared with other users, they are occasionally subject to high speed congestion.

Mobile Internet

Mobile Internet is a way to run without having to rely on the default connection, as the name implies. Mobile operators provide access to this alternative way of using the Internet. If you are a provider, you may be subject to limited use of the Internet.

The mobile Internet is currently offered in two different speeds and performance levels:

Mobile 3G Internet: For many years now, there is usually access and download speeds that allow users to perform a page, such as accessing a web page or email. 3G mobile internet is slowly being replaced by 4G services.

Mobile 4G Internet: Currently available mobile Internet, which is much faster than 3G. With its excellent connectivity and download speeds, 4G can replace fixed Internet connections in other countries where access to high-speed connections can be difficult.

Mobile 5G Internet: The next telecommunication standard has been introduced, which is way beyond the current 4G standards.
